The ZEN Design Language
Every command
is legible
before you click it.
ZEN does not use conventional icons. Every command is encoded as a 3×3 grid of circles and crosses — a visual grammar where position, count, and shape encode the nature of each operation. The icon is the documentation.
Top row cross → Export
A cross in the top row signals that data or configuration is flowing out of Revit. The position encodes direction before anything is read.
Bottom row cross → Import
A cross in the bottom row signals that data is flowing into Revit. Every import command carries this mark. The rows are compass directions.
Extra marks → Scale
A second cross in the export or import row signals batch execution — the same operation across many models. More marks, more scale.
